Second Skin
At S'ranouir, our commitment to responsibility begins long before a garment is made, it begins with the material we choose and the value we uphold. Hand selecting the materials that feel closer as a second skin—caresses your body with gentle ease.
CUPRO
Vegan Silk with a Sustainable Edge
Cupro is a soft, silky fabric made from cotton waste that is usually thrown away. It feels like real silk but is plant-based, breathable, and kind to skin. Cupro also handles moisture well and does not cling, making it perfect for dresses, linings, and lightweight clothes. Because it is biodegradable and vegan, it is a great choice for eco-conscious shoppers looking for luxury with less impact.
TENCEL™
Sustainable Softness and Modern Comfort
TENCEL™ is a premium, eco-friendly fabric made from wood pulp, mainly from eucalyptus trees. Produced by Lenzing AG, it is known for its smooth feel, breathability, and minimal environmental impact.
It is made in a closed-loop process that recycles over 99% of water and solvents, making it one of the most sustainable fabrics today.
TENCEL™ feels gentle on the skin, absorbs moisture well, and helps keep you cool and dry. Its smooth surface is great for sensitive skin, and it naturally resists bacteria—perfect for intimate apparel.
WOOL
Natural warmth and Timeless Comfort
From Merino and lambswool to mohair, alpaca, and cashmere, wool comes in various types, each prized for its warmth and long-lasting durability. In addition to being breathable and moisture-wicking, wool naturally resists odours and wrinkles. With proper care, wool garments can retain their shape, comfort, and appearance for years.
Trimmings
Every detail matters at S’ranouir, and that includes the trimmings you see on our designs.
HARDWARE
It all begins with our design team, who hand-sketch each trimming concept to bring our ideas to life on paper. Once the design is finalised, we use clay to create prototype. From there, we work with 3D designers to turn that sketch into a detailed sample and send to jewellery workshop for the final pieces.
We challenge the concept of traditional garment trimmings by elevating them into accessory-like elements. While maintaining their original function as fastenings, we evaluate the design with a more aesthetic approach, allowing them to serve both practical and decorative purposes. These trimmings are no longer confined to their utilitarian role, they become versatile details that can transform the overall look of a garment. This flexibility invites the wearer to interact with the trimming, styling and personalising the outfit in playful and unexpected ways.
BUTTONS
Each button is crafted from recycled paper fibres, chosen with care to reflect our commitment to low-impact design. Their subtle variations in colour, shaped by natural oxidation, and the occasional speckled markings are not flaws but reminders of their recycled origin, each piece carrying its own quiet story of renewal.
